One of my New Year’s resolutions, along with thousands of other peoples, is to work towards gaining and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. If you are a regular gym-goer like me, you may despise going to the gym this time of year, because you will most likely have to deal with “the resolutioners.” I hear comments from all of the regulars about how there aren’t any machines open or these new people don’t know what they’re doing. Well if you are pessimistic about this in any way then this next bit is for you. If the goal that you hope to achieve at the gym is to gain health, strength, and happiness then remember that the newbies are trying to work towards the same thing! Make one of your resolutions to have more patience and let everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Use your knowledge and skill to be helpful and inspire them to work harder and keep coming back. Health is not just a personal thing. To make a true difference, health needs to be spread across the whole community, nation, and world.
